Memorial - 26 December 2006

Memorial held in the Ishwarn Community Hall (built by GSLP with Irish Red Cross Support) on 26th of December 2006. On the 2nd anniversary of the Tsunami the families gathered together 150 photographs of people lost in the disaster from the local area (division 9 and 12 of Karativu). This is the first public cermonary in this area to commerate the tsunami that seamed to engage people in a community activity.

Weeragoda Play-school



Weeragoda pre-school. Children having fun.

Built by Galway Sri Lanka Project with funds from the Irish Red Cross. Completed June 2006. Current capacity for 50 students ages 3-5 years old.
